Wreck leads to drug arrest early Sunday morning

SHRE VEPORT, LA (KSLA) – A rollover wreck Sunday morning landed two people not in the hospital, but in jail on drug charges.

A pick-up truck traveling northbound on I-49 in south Shreveport, suddenly left the road and flipped over several times.

Police say they found meth and prescription pills in the cab of the truck, and arrested the two people inside.

The driver told officers that he fell asleep behind the wheel.

Officers tell KSLA News 12 both passengers claim they were not injured.

Their names have not been released at this time.
