Caddo Sheriff offers safety course to college-bound students

Shreveport, LA (KSLA)-Students that have just graduated high school and college bound students now have the opportunity to learn more about safety and avoid getting into sticky situations.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator is offering a one-day safety course for college-bound students ages 17-21.

The program is from noon to 5 p.m. August 5 at Sheriff's Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Avenue. Participants will receive information on campus security, self defense, personal safety, dating violence, identity theft, safe driving, drug awareness, personal finances, and mental health awareness.

There is no charge for the course, but seating is limited.
