Victimized by Counterfeit Money

DIANA, TX (KSLA) – Two businesses in the Upshur County, Texas area are warning other store owners to be on the look-out, after being victimized by counterfeit money.

An East Texas business owner, Kenneth Roades, found out yesterday that he had accepted two counterfeit fifty dollar bills over the weekend. Roades owns a fireworks stand in the Diana area.

Someone also used fake bills at the Handy-Mart in Diana. The store manager says the worst part about counterfeit money is that it hurts more than just the stores where it's used.
