Passengers injured during emergency landings

GREGG COUNTY, TX (KSLA) – Several passengers were injured in Texas on Monday June 28, when severe weather forced some large planes to make emergency landings.

Gregg County, Texas fire officials say two MD-80 airplanes and a 737 made emergency landings.

Officials were called to the airport to help injured passengers. At least five passengers reportedly suffered injuries from turbulence mid-flight.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
