New LSU board members

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Gov. Bobby Jindal has made new appointments to LSU's governing board, replacing four members named by his predecessor.

Jindal's office released the names Friday of the appointees to the LSU Board of Supervisors. Jindal has named a majority of the 15 appointed members; a 16th member is a student representative.

One of Jindal's new picks is state Sen. Ann Duplessis, who is leaving the Senate to take a job in New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu's administration.

Other new members include Robert "Bobby" Yarborough, of Baton Rouge, the co-owner of Manda Fine Meats; Garret "Hank" Danos, of Larose, head of a marine contracting business; and Ray Lasseigne, of Bossier City, co-owner of several oil and gas exploration and drilling companies.

Reappointed was Ben Mount, of Lake Charles, an attorney and husband of a state senator.
