Woman critically injured in Bossier Parish crash

Bossier Parish, LA (KSLA)- A West Monroe woman was seriously injured after being ejected from her vehicle in a Bossier Parish crash.

Louisiana State Police were on the scene of the accident around 3:00 PM Tuesday afternoon. The investigation revealed that a 2002 Isuzu Rodeo was traveling east on Interstate 20 in Bossier Parish when the left rear tire blew out on the vehicle causing the driver to lose control of the Isuzu. The car ran off the right side of the road and over-turned.

The driver, identified as 44-year-old Traci Valentine from West Monroe, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.  Valentine was air-lifted to LSU Medical Center with life threatening injuries.  Valentine was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The front seat passenger in the Isuzu, identified as 57-year-old Thomas Allen from West Monroe, was transported to LSU Medical Center with minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the accident and determine all the contributing factors.
