S'port man dies in morning stabbing. Suspect arrested.

Shreveport, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that left a man dead.

Shreveport Police detectives and Shreveport Police responded to a reported stabbing at approximately 9:33 a.m. Saturday morning, at a home in the 100 block of Dalzell Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 27 year old Sir Terrance Myles suffering from a stab wound to the upper torso. Myles was transported to LSUHSC by the Shreveport Fire Department where he was later pronounced deceased. A female in the apartment, identified as 22 year old Gabrielle Cooper, initially told officers that an intruder had entered the residence and stabbed the victim.

Detectives and crime scene investigators were dispatched to the scene and immediately began their investigation. Detectives interviewed Cooper and soon learned that she had not been telling the truth. Based on this interview and other evidence, investigators believe that Cooper and Myles, who had been romantically involved, were engaged in some type of dispute during which Cooper stabbed the victim.

Cooper, of the 100 block of Dalzell Street in Shreveport, was arrested by investigators and booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of second degree murder.
