El Dorado, Ark. (KSLA) - A truck driver who was recently indicted in Texas for sexually assaulting a woman at a Lubbock truck stop is being investigated for his connection with similar crimes that happened in Caddo Parish.
In an incident that happened on May 13th, Donald Hux, 34, who is a long-distance truck driver from El-Dorado, Arkansas is accused of threatening a 22-year-old Caddo Parish woman with a handgun and raping her in the cab of his semi at a truck center in the 8500 block of Greenwood Road. The woman said she had agreed to meet Hux after he contacted her on the internet.
Later on that day, Hux was arrested in his hometown of El Dorado after a Lubbock County Grand Jury indicted him for assaulting a woman at a truck stop in Lubbock in March. In that case, the victim was threatened at knifepoint in the cab of the truck.
Several jurisdictions along the I-10 and I-20 corridors have been contacted by Caddo detectives seeking information on other possible victims.
Locally, Caddo Detective Terry Richardson has obtained a warrant for Hux's arrest on a charge of aggravated rape. Hux will be returned here after facing charges in Lubbock. His bond in Caddo Parish has been set at $500,000. Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said CPSO detectives are looking for information from the public to help with their investigation.
Hux is described as a white make, 5'10, 190 lbs. with dark hair and a dark mustache. He drove a black Peterbuilt truck with a silver tank trailer.
