State of emergency declared in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA (KSLA) – The governor of Oklahoma has declared a state of emergency in 59 counties, drenched by heavy flooding.

Flash floods triggered a dramatic scene in Oklahoma City when a rescue boat full of firefighters overturns, while a teenager clings to a tree.

The 17 year old girl struggled to keep her head above water for nearly an hour climbing tree limbs to stay alive.

A boat carrying three rescuers also sunk and they found themselves waiting for help as well.

All were safely rescued including the teen girl and dozens of others in and around Oklahoma City.
