DOYLINE, LA (KSLA) –A manhunt ends in Webster Parish early Monday morning with the discovery of a Lafayette, Louisiana man's body in a wooded area of the small town.
Webster Parish Sheriff's deputies say that 46-year-old Timothy Rogers' body was found Monday morning with what's being described by authorities as a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Authorities believe Rogers may have killed his father in Lafayette sometime this past weekend. Rogers was reportedly on house arrest for pending charges of rape and domestic abuse from back in March of 2010.
After believably murdering his father, deputies say that Rogers drove up to Doyline to allegedly murder his wife and kids.
After learning of Rogers' father being found dead by Lafayette authorities, it was reported that then the manhunt begin around 5:30 a.m. Monday morning in Webster Parish. Authorities searched on foot and in the air for Rogers.
Deputies report that Rogers' body was found just shy of 100 ft. of his wife and kids' home.
