SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – A 24-hour search for two suspects in a Ruston bank robbery has ended with their capture in Shreveport.
Police spent Wednesday searching from the skies and deep in the woods in between Highway 167 and Cookton Road for two men who robbed the Sabine State Bank in Ruston, armed with handguns.
But it all ended today in Shreveport.
The suspects were picked up at the Royal Inn on North Market, after the Ruston Police Department got a tip that they were there and called in the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit and Louisiana State Police to check it out.
Sure enough, the suspects were spotted and arrested.
Also found in their motel room a significant amount of cash.
Nineteen year-old Damon Marzett of Rayville and 22 year-old Kourtney Douglas of Ruston are charged with armed robbery.
A third suspect, 20 year-old Le-gabrielle Williams, was arrested last night in connection with the case.
