Another Ark-La-Tex soldier to be laid to rest next week

El Dorado, AR (KSLA) - Another fallen Ark-La-Tex soldier will be honored this upcoming week for his ultimate sacrifice. Forty four year-old Major Ronald "Wayne" Culver was killed in action on May 24th during an I-E-D attack on his vehicle in Iraq. He will be laid to rest on June 1st.

The family has expressed their gratitude to the public for the outpouring support that they have shown to the family and friends of Major "Wayne" Culver in the tough times they are going through as they grieve.

"Wayne was truly a great person, a wonderful husband, father, son and brother" said Shane Culver, Wayne's brother.

The family is also asking everyone that may have a picture of "Wayne"-as he liked to be called- to bring it to the visitation so that can put in on the display board.

Visitation is scheduled on Memorial Day from 6-9 PM at young Funeral Home in El Dorado, Arkansas. The funeral will be held at the city's municipal auditorium on Tuesday June 1st at 9 AM and the burial will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Haughton, LA.
