WEBSTER PARISH, LA (KSLA)- KSLA News 12 has learned that, according to the Gary Sexton, Webster Parish Sheriff, there was a triple-fatal wreck on Interstate 20, in the eastbound lanes around 6:30 p.m. this evening.
There were three cars involved in this wreck.
A white car was westbound on I-20 when it crossed over the median and hit another white car and maroon car.
The driver of the white car that crossed the median has been pronounced dead.
The driver of the maroon car has been air-lifted to an area hospital. The passenger of the maroon car was a pregnant woman. Both the woman and the child were pronounced dead.
Two people in the second white car were air-lifted to an area hospital.
No names have been released.
Louisiana State Police are cleaning up the wreck. Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton called it one of the worst wrecks he's seen in a long time.
The wreck is near the Goodwill Road exit on Interstate 20. So, if you're traveling, be prepared for a delay as crews try to clean up the wreckage.
