Aggravated robbery in Tyler

TYLER, TX (KSLA) – Tyler Texas Police are searching for the suspect that attacked a man with bolt cutters in his home, after he declined to buy them.

The incident happen just after 1 a.m. this morning, in the 1400 block of West 3rd Street in Tyler Texas. The 64 year old male victim called the police after a visitor tried to sell him a used pair of bolt cutters at his door. When he declined to buy them, the suspect attacked him with the bolt cutters.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. The victim was found incapacitated, but conscious. He was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.

Authorities describe the attacker as a heavyset black male between 35 and 40 years old who walks with a limp. The incident is still under investigation.
