Mentally-challenged man caught in middle of drug raid

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – A Shreveport family is making a bold accusation: they say their loved one was left bloodied and bruised, and they claim our local drug task force is to blame.

The Caddo-Shreveport Joint Task Force raided a home in the Greenbrook neighborhood in Shreveport, looking for suspected drug dealer Michael Watson.

Before arresting Watson, investigators handcuffed Yolanda Pineset, Watson's estranged girlfriend, and brought her outside of the house.

But, left in the house was Pineset's brother, 30 year-old Chris. Chris is mentally challenged and operates, at best, like a six year-old, according to his family.

His family says he was just an innocent bystander.

But, when investigators brought Chris out of the house, his face was bloody and swollen.

Now, the family wants to know what happened and why Chris was beaten.
