Webster deputies search for two alleged armed robbers

MINDEN, LA (KSLA) - Webster Parish Sheriff deputies continue to search for two men who allegedly robbed a Minden, Louisiana bank early Wednesday morning.

The alleged armed robbery happened at the UBC Southern Council Federal Credit Union, located in the 600 block of Penal Farm Rd.,in Minden shortly after 9:00 a.m.

Deputies say the men reportedly walked into the bank wearing masks and carrying handguns and an assault rifle, ordering employees to the ground.

UBC Credit Union reportedly does not keep money on-site, so according to Webster deputies, the alleged robbers resorted to searching the purses of victims.

Webster Sheriff officials say the two only ended up getting away with just $20.

The robbers are described by deputies as two males wearing long-sleeved camouflage and near six feet in height.

The Webster Parish Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with any information about the robbery or any potentially related suspicious morning activity in the south-Minden area to contact investigators at 318-377-1515.
