SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – A second arrest has been made after a man's body was found behind a church this past Sunday.
Shreveport Police have arrested 18 year-old Cordaro Morris. He is charged with second degree murder.
Police also arrested 17 year-old Akeem Tisdom that night. Tisdom has been booked into Shreveport City Jail and charged with 2nd degree murder.
KSLA News 12 received a call just after 3 o'clock from a concerned citizen about a body being found behind a church, and police have now made an arrest in the case.
After our news crew arrived at the corner of Virginia and Morningside, Shreveport Police confirmed that a man's body was found behind a church.
Police say that children discovered the body behind the church when they went outside to play.
The coroner concluded that the body was that of a black male in his mid thirties. When police made it to the scene, they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Detectives believe a robbery may have led to the homicide, and other arrests are expected.
