After our news crew arrived at the corner of Virginia and Morningside, Shreveport Police confirmed that a man's body was found behind a church.

Police say that children discovered the body behind the church when they went outside to play.

The coroner concluded that the body was that of a black male in his mid thirties. When police made it to the scene, they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Detectives believe a robbery may have led to the homicide, and other arrests are expected.
