Students participate in drunk driving simulation

TEXARKANA, AR (KSLA) – Some Arkansas High School students got a first-hand look at the dangers of drunk driving, thanks to a simulation.

The organization Professionals Encouraging Education Reform Statewide, also known as P.E.E.R.S., allows students to get a real sense of what it's like to drive while intoxicated, by actually getting behind the wheel.

"It's a different experience," says student Mark Gilliam. "I don't drink, so I didn't really know what it would be like."

"Well, I don't think anyone would pass, whether they're perfect drivers or not," says student Brittnie Williams. "You can't drink and drive."
