MINDEN, LA (KSLA) - Webster Parish authorities report that a Sibley man turned himself in to authorities for alleged sexual abuse before deputies ever learned of a potential victim.
36-year-old James Reuben Phillips, II reportedly confessed to Webster Parish detectives that for two years, he allegedly forced sexual acts upon a young girl.
The alleged victim, according to deputies was 11-year-old at the time the alleged sex acts begin.
Phillips now faces a charge of aggravated rape of a child under 13-years-old.
Sheriff Department investigators say Phillips reportedly turned himself in after his young victim shared details of alleged abuse to her mother and church leaders.
The investigation, according to sheriff investigators is far from over and reportedly more charges are likely.
