Car crashes into building in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – A Shreveport driver says a sticky gas pedal is what led to his car crashing into a building. His 2008 Toyota Camry was sitting in the middle of Advance Auto Parts in the 3700 block of Greenwood Road on Monday.

His car was also part of the January recall that affected millions of vehicles.

We spoke to the man who was a passenger in the car when it crashed through the business.

"And I mean, the car came almost to a complete stop right here and boom," says passenger Joseph Ruffins.

"I'm talking about just like somebody took a brick or something and put on the gas pedal; that joker just picked up speed, jumped over that hump, and straight in the air it went."

We're told the driver was not injured, and the passenger had minor injuries.

Advance Auto Parts says their business will remain open.
