LITTLE RIVER COUNTY, AR (KSLA) – A new medical emergency group is coming to southwest Arkansas.
Little River County Ambulance Service is scheduled to take over emergency services on May 1st.
The group will employee nine full time employees and staff two ambulances stationed in Ashdown.
Nick Hibbs, the service's director, says they can now offer residents help with the most up-to-date emergency equipment.
"We are going to try and improve on what they have done here, addressing any problems in the past and try to take care of those," he said.
Little River County Ambulance Service replaces LifeNet Emergency Medical Services.
Hibbs says they have a five-year contract with the county.
