SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – Shreveport Police have found a body in an offshoot of Cross Bayou.
The body was found in a wooded area in an offshoot of Cross Bayou that runs under Ford Street and Hearne Avenue and alongside Ernest B. Miller Drive. The area is near the J.S. Clark Middle School.
A man fishing from a boat in the bayou saw the body and called police. Officials say that the body was found in the brush and not in the water.
Right now police are not saying anything about the race of the body and won't speculate on how long the body had been there. But, we do know that the body is that of a man.
Police are working to determine who the person is and how the person died.
Now, the coroner is trying to determine the cause of death.
