Lows tonight will be in the low 70s and a warm evening ahead. Highs tomorrow will be in the low 90s and when you combine that heat with humidity we have afternoon rain chances in the afternoon. If you have any outdoor plans tomorrow, this will not be a washout, but make sure you are staying weather aware and checking on the forecast so you know if there will be showers or storms heading your way. A great way to do this is by downloading the Stormtracker 12 weather app!
We are continuing to track the Tropics. The National Hurricane Center gave an update this afternoon on the track of Subtropical System Alberto, and it is still looking like it will not be impacting the ArkLaTex. Right now, whether this system strengthens or not, it will bring heavy rainfall and high winds to Cuba, Florida, and the Gulf Coast as it continues to travel towards the United States. Tropical storm warnings have been issued from Mississippi to the Florida Panhandle. Currently, sustained winds around 40mph moving north between 10-15mph. If you are traveling to any of these places for the holiday weekend, know that your weekend will be very wet.
As for the lows this week, they will be stay in the low 70s here in the ArkLaTex, but as we head towards the end of the week high temperatures will soar into the mid to upper 90s! Your Memorial Day looks to have a few showers possible, but no washouts expected. Check back for more updates throughout the week.
