Texarkana Police make arrest in mall parking lot shooting

TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) – Texarkana, Texas Police detectives arrested a man Tuesday for his part in a shooting that happened the day after Christmas.

17-year-old Kenneth Earl Williamson Jr., of Texarkana, Texas is now behind bars after a shooting Saturday at Texarkana's Central Mall, located in the 2300 block of Richmond Rd.

According to police, Williamson may have participated in the shooting which happened Saturday evening in the West parking lot of the mall.

Police have also concluded that the shooting was in no way gang related nor did it involve any type of cross-state rivalry.

Officers say Williamson turned himself in. Williamson now faces an aggravated assault charge and has been booked into the Bi-State Jail.
