BIENVILLE PARISH, LA (KSLA) – Flash flooding has hit parts of Bienville Parish hard, and authorities urge residents there to stay off the roads.
Bienville Parish Chief Deputy Randy Price said the sheriff's department has already made three or four water rescues in a very short period of time. He says homeowners need to stay indoors.
Price says there's at least a foot of water in numerous places along U.S. Highway 80 between Arcadia and Gibsland, and that deputies are closing off parts of the highway.
Price also says there's flooding inside the town of Arcadia from just north of downtown to I-20.
Highway 151 has also been closed due to flooding.
