Natchitoches Police arrest 5 following double shooting

NATCHITOCHES, LA (KSLA) – The search has ended for suspects in connection to a deadly double shooting this past Saturday afternoon in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

The Natchitoches Police Department says several arrests have been made in connection to the homicide that occurred in the 1200 block of Pavie St.

23-year-old Jody Hamilton, 18-year-old Demarcus Law, 24-year-old Eric Addison, 21-year-old Graig Glass, and 22-year-old Donterica Beaudion are all now in the Natchitoches Detention Center, according to police.

The shooting happened near where thousands of visitors were gathered to take part in Natchitoches' annual Christmas Festival.

Two males were shot according to police, one of the shooting victims was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to LSU Hospital in critical condition.

Police say that the suspects were found at a Natchitoches apartment complex where they had been reportedly holed up for two days.

Hamilton and Law now face charges of 1st degree murder and attempted 1st degree murder. Reportedly, Addison, Glass and Beaudion according to police were arrested for being accessories after the fact of 1st degree murder.

Following this recent arrest, the Natchitoches Police Department wants to let the public know that in the future anyone found helping suspects in any way will be arrested on accessory charges and placed in jail.
