2007 2nd degree murder trial underway in Caddo court

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Opening arguments began Tuesday afternoon in Caddo District court in the 2nd degree murder trial of 25-year-old Kenneth Dewayne Palmer.

According to the Caddo Parish District Attorney's Office, Palmer is on trial for the October 2007, fatal shooting of Brandon Robertson, who was 28-years-old at the time of his death.

The shooting reportedly happened at the Canaan Village Apartments, located in the 1900 block of Patzman St. in Shreveport.

Officials also say that another victim was involved in that shooting, but that person was only wounded.

Assistant District Attorney's Laura Fulco and Jacob Broussard are prosecuting this case. Officials say that Judge John Mosely is presiding over the case.
