A selected participant who does not call within 12 minutes, does not meet the eligibility requirements or that does not wish to participate any further will be disqualified.  38 selected participants will be announced during the contest period.
    1. Subject to Rule 4(c)(iv) below, the finalists that are selected pursuant to the procedure listed above will be given the opportunity to attempt to win the Prize by rolling a set of 5 pre-printed dice after receiving instructions to do so from the contest administrator. In order to be a valid attempt, each eligible contestant must:
  • i. Show a contest administrator a valid state driver's license and proof of residence, and then print and sign their full name in the official registration binder on the next unoccupied line. Name must be printed clearly to be eligible.
  • ii. After completing this information, and upon direction of KSLA, the finalist must then roll the provided set of 5 dice in accordance with the requirements outlined herein.
  • iii. Limit 1 roll per finalist.
  • iv. Note that not each finalist is guaranteed a roll. If a finalist successfully rolls the 5 dice, all with the "KSLA-News-12 logo" face up in accordance with these rules, he/she will win the Prize (provided he/she is otherwise eligible) and the contest will immediately end and no further rolls will be permitted.
    1. In order for a Prize to be awarded, the (5) dice rolled by the contestant must come to rest a minimum of 6 feet from the demarcation line with "the KSLA News 12 logo" face up in accordance with these rules, and the contestant must be the first contestant to have achieved this result.  No part of the finalist's body or clothing may come in contact with the demarcation line.
    1. All dice roll attempts must occur in the presence of 2 contest administrators, and must be recorded on videotape in their entirety by KSLA.  Any dice roll attempt not in the presence of the 2 contest administrators, or that is not videotaped in its entirety for any reason will be disqualified and is not eligible for a Prize, regardless of the outcome.
    1. Finalists are not permitted to take any practice, warm-up rolls, etc.  Only 1 roll is permitted.  Once any die has been rolled, the attempt is considered to be completed.  No tampering with the dice permitted.
    1. Each finalist must roll each oversized dice all at once. Finalists may not attempt to change the outcome of any rolled die by hitting the die with a subsequent roll attempt.
    1. Each die must be tossed in a way that does not allow the finalist to "set" the dice, alter or influence the random outcome of the roll, all which will be determined by KSLA.
    1. Each die must be rolled a minimum of 6 feet in distance from the finalist.  A contest administrator will designate the demarcation line that each die must cross during the roll attempt, as well as the line behind which the finalist must be positioned to take his/her attempt.
    1. Each dice must make a minimum of 2 complete rotations while in the air.
    1. All dice must come to rest lying individually and completely flat.  No dice may be leaning or stacked.
    1. All dice must land on and remain on the designated dice rolling surface.
    1. No rolled die may come in contact with any person or object other than the designated rolling surfaces or walls.
    1. If any die comes in contact with another person or object (other than the dice roll surface or designated walls or backstop, or other dice) for any reason, or if any person or object in any way interferes, alters, changes, influences or affects the random outcome of the roll, then the entire attempt is disqualified and the contestant will not receive another attempt.
    1. The following will result in the finalist's attempt being disqualified and not receiving another attempt:
  • 1. If a contest administrator deems that any die has failed to cross the dice roll demarcation line;
  • 2. If any die is leaning in any manner;
  • 3. If any die leaves the designated dice roll playing surface;
  • 4. If any finalist inadvertently drops a die as they are preparing to roll, and the dropped die does not meet the eligible dice roll requirements as stated in the contest rules; or
