Bossier city, la (ksla) - Former Bossier Parish Assistant District Attorney, Charles Sentell breaks his silence after being arrested at a Bossier City casino.

Surveillance video of Charles Sentell or Sherb as he's known, in a heated argument with his wife Julie at the horseshoe casino in early October shows Sentell grabbing his wife's arm and talking to her as she apparently tries to leave.

Bossier City police arrested Sentell and charged him with domestic abuse, and public intimidation.

After the video was reviewed by Sentell's boss, district attorney Skyler Marvin, Sentell resigned.

"The district attorney's office has to work closely with Bossier City police officers. My arrest may cause strained relations with that department, and it has placed a cloud of distraction over the DA's office. Accordingly, out of respect for the office, I am resigning my position," said Sentell in a prepared statement.

Sentell's wife, Julie also spoke at today's news conference, saying the rumors of domestic abuse are false, and added there was no basis for her husband's arrest.
