SPD and CSO investigate mystery fatal shooting

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) -Shreveport Police and the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office investigate a murder mystery Saturday night that began with a 911 call.

Shreveport and Caddo Investigators discovered the body of a man of a dirt road near South Lakeshore Drive in Shreveport.

The case began when dispatchers took a 911 call from a man claiming that he had just shot someone, which was around 6:15 p.m. Saturday evening.

When Shreveport Police arrived on scene with the man, they canvassed the area for quite some time, but never found a victim.

Moments later, Shreveport Police say that another 911 call came through; only this time from a woman who police say said she had witnessed a shooting.

Police met the woman at the Academy Sports parking lot, located in the 6900 block of Bert Kouns in south Shreveport.

When police arrived, they found the woman covered in blood and hysterical.

Police say the woman told them that the crime happened at the nearby Wendy's restaurant parking lot and was able to take police to the body.

The body of a male was found off Lakeshore Drive, just outside of Shreveport City limits in Caddo Parish. Police say the man appears to have suffered from a gunshot wound and they may have found a murder weapon.

At last check, no suspects had been arrested, but four individuals including the man and female 911 callers are being questioned by investigators.
