Four weeks after a Shreveport couple was found murdered inside their burned-out car, the top law enforcement officer in Caddo Parish is still fuming over Louisiana's criminal justice system - a system that allowed the accused killer to be out on parole in the first place.

Just before 6:00 a.m., members of the Shreveport Fire Department were dispatched to reports of a grass fire in the 3100 block of Murphy Street. While they were extinguishing the fire, they located the burned remains.
