KSLA Salutes: Texas A&M-Texarkana gets $185,000 to help black males graduate from college
Texas A&M University-Texarkana has received $185,000 the Texas Pioneer Foundation. School officials say the money will help address the number of black men who enter college but fail to graduate. The goal is to mentor 25 students a year, admissions director Toney Favors said. Black males account for 19 percent of students at Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
