The National Weather Service has done surveys on the wind damage from storms near Blanchard, Louisiana and around Sydney Street in the Martin Luther King neighborhood of Shreveport. They determined this damage to be the result of "MicroBurst" winds. This is the result of rain-cooled air accelerating downward.
