Caddo school employee arrested for improper behavior with juveniles

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - An employee at Oak Terrace Alternative School in Shreveport was arrested by the Caddo Sheriff's Office Tuesday for sending sexually-explicit messages to a student.

According to Caddo deputies, 36-year-old Van Rogers Goodman IV, works in the school's physical education department, and allegedly sent inappropriate messages and photographs to the cell phone of a 14-year-old female student during school hours.

The girl asked Goodman to keep her phone for her after she remembered she had brought it to school. She found the messages when she retrieved the phone from Goodman.

Goodman is now behind bars facing charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes.
