Source: Bossier Sheriff's OfficeBENTON, LA (KSLA) - The Bossier Sheriff's Office needs the public's help in locating a missing Benton man.
56-year-old Charles Mathews was reported missing by his family back on March 3, but according the Bossier Sheriff's Office, the family has not seen or heard from Mathews since September of 2008.
Mathews recently retired from the Louisiana Department of Corrections in September of 2008 and sometimes goes by the nicknames "Shadow" and "Mudbug."
He is described as a white male, 6'4" tall and weighing 195lbs. Mathews is believed to be driving a black 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier with Louisiana tags KLY 870.
Bossier Sheriff's investigators do not suspect foul play at this time, but family members and authorities are concerned for Mathews' safety and well being.
