Cattle trailer accident, delays evening rush traffic

SHREVEPORT, LA. (KSLA) - Evening rush hour commuters ended up delayed Friday while crews worked to clear both sides of Interstate 20 after an afternoon accident.

The accident happened in Lincoln Parish.

According to police, one semi-tractor-trailer full of cattle crash created a chain reaction of crashes. The cattle trailor overturned, sending cattle out in traffic.

Some of the cattle ended up getting hit by other cars, while others made a run for it.

Also on eastbound Interstate 20 three more tractor-trailers were involved in a crash. Police are saying that crash coincides with the first tractor-trailer accident.that crash.

Fortunately, of both accidents, there were no reports of any major injuries. The driver of the cattle tractor-trailor that initiated the multi-trailor accident was cited for careless operation.
