Guilty As Charged; Jury Makes Decision In Brandon Davis Case

Posted: Updated:

April 25, 7:20pm:  Guilty of first degree murder is the decision handed down by the jury in the Brandon Davis case.

Closing arguments in the trial began mid-Friday morning.
Brandon Davis is accused of carjacking and killing Tosha Lampkin two years ago. She was visiting the area from Houston.
Investigators say Davis and his alleged accomplice Dwight Bacon followed Lampkin to the David Motel in Bossier City.
Lampkin's body was found in the trunk of a burned-out vehicle on Kuhn Road in Caddo Parish.
Witness testimony over the past few days included Davis' cellmate. Davis himself never took the stand.
The longest phase of the trial was jury selection. That took two weeks because the jury will be considering the death penalty.
KSLA News 12 is following these developments closely and we'll bring you updates on KSLA News 12 at 10 and on ksla.com.
