When you get a new cell phone, what do you do with the old one?
Now, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office wants that old, discarded phone.
Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator says his office has teamed with the nationwide 911 cell phone bank.
They take the old discarded cell phones and program them to call 911 in case of an emergency.
Those phones are then issued to senior citizens and victims of domestic violence.
