Bossier City has seen it's share of growth over the years, but a new shopping and housing development could catapult one part of the city into a state of the art concept community where you can live, shop, eat, and play all on the same property.
Wednesday an announcement was made about a upcoming community called Villaggio. Villaggio is being developed by John Good, who also developed the Louisiana Boardwalk and the Stonebridge Community.
"I wanted a place to where you could come, you could live, you could shop, you could eat, and play in the same place." Good said.
The Italian themed community will be similar to the Louisiana Boardwalk but with more elements like apartments, town homes, and even a man made lake with a white sand beach.
Tuesday the Bossier City Council will vote on their first reading on the zoning change. If all goes as planned the project should be complete by the summer of 2008.
