Vanished without a trace; in this case, it's not the the hit show on CBS, but a real life scenario here in the Ark-La-Tex.
A nineteen year old mother, pregnant with her second child, has been missing since late January.
Detectives hope this story will provide a new credible lead in the case that has quickly gone cold.
"Yeah, this is where I sit all the time, wondering all the time if she'll ever again walk down that road."
Fighting flies, and the odds her daughter may be dead, Veola Anderson can only put on a polite face, on a case that is puzzling investigators.
"I can't definitely say she's dead, and I can't definitely says that she's alive. I just have to go on what I have," says DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Detective Adam Euwing.
And what Detective Euwing has is not much. He gave two men lie detector tests, and both passed. He passed out more than sixty flyers, even posting her picture on the National Missing Persons Website, but still no sign of Constance Anderson.
"She left the house with nothing. She didn't have anything. She didn't have a lot of money. She really didn't have a place to go where she could go and no one would find out where she was at. She would surface at some point."
It was inside her home, in South Mansfield, where the nineteen year old was last seen. Her closet is still full of clothes. Her bed made is even made. Police say everything was left behind when she disappeared around eleven o'clock, January 24. Her family says she would have never run away without her child TJ. Right now, he is without a mother, and Detective Euwing is without an answer for a the family.
"It's been a touchy subject with me, because I can not give them anything tell them she's OK, we found her in Kansas and she doesn't want to have nothing to do with ya'll. I'd love to be able to tell them something like that, I know it sounds cruel, but I'd much rather tell them that, than well we found her body, I'm sorry to inform you, your daugther's dead."
