Prosecution Continues Case Against Holmes

Most of Sunday's testimony in the murder trial of Brandy Holmes centered on the prosecution's attempts to show how she tried to cover up her actions.
Holmes stands accused of murdering Blanchard Minister Julian Brandon and aiding in a brutal attack on his wife Alice, who survived.
Her defense attorney admits Holmes is guilty. "What happened is a terrible tragedy and Brandy Holmes participated in it. And she's guilty of second degree murder but not first degree murder." said attorney Clark Glen Garret.
Also during Sunday morning's testimony, the prosecution called Tammi and John Holmes, Brandy's step-mother and father. They told the jury they believe Brandy took her father's 380 gun, a gun prosecutors say later acted as the murder weapon.
Tammi and John had a few comments after their testimony. "She's just, she's not kin to me," said Tammi Holmes
The afternoon testimony allowed jurors to hear several tapes of Brandy's confessions to police, all of which prosecutors say, show major inconsistencies.
Jurors also heard from Holmes' nine-year-old nephew, whom prosecutors call a witness to Brandy's actions, even at the crime scene.
Proescutors say Holmes took him back to the crime scene and showed him the body of Julian Brandon before neighbors discovered the crime.
Testimony resumes Monday at 9 am.
