AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A Central Texas woman has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for beating and shooting her ex-husband amid a child custody dispute. Jurors yesterday sentenced Andria Stanley in the February 2012 attack. Stanley's former husband, Jason Witt, testified that his ex-wife broke into his Austin home, then beat and shot him.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Governor Rick Perry will deliver the keynote address at the Governor's Small Business Forum's 2013 Texas Global Business Summit. The event in Austin today comes as the Legislature enters its final days before the end of the session. Perry has the option of summoning lawmakers back to work for a special session later this summer.

MIDLAND, Texas (AP) - The agency looking into last year's train collision that killed four veterans on a parade float is set to release documents from its investigation. The National Transportation Safety Board says the documents will be released today on the agency's website. The veterans were riding on a flatbed truck last November when it was hit by a train in Midland.

EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Fort Bliss will honor three soldiers killed last week by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. Twenty-4-year-olds William Gilbert and Mitchell Daehling and 21-year-old Cody Towse will be honored today. Five other Fort Bliss soldiers were killed in a roadside blast in early May in Afghanistan.
