JUNCTION CITY, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a Junction City man was found fatally shot in the yard of his son's home.
The Union County Sheriff's Office says 52-year-old Clarence Ritchey had gone to his son's home Wednesday night to investigate a possible burglary in progress. Police say Ritchey's home was across the street from his son's house.
Authorities say Ritchey was shot in the head. His body was sent to the state Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Sheriff Ken Jones says the door of Ritchey's son's house had been pried open, and weapons from the house were found wrapped in a bed cover in the back yard near Ritchey's body.
