Two Shreveport clinics to offer H1N1 flu vaccine

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – The recent drop in Ark-La-Tex temperatures and the apparent cold weather has arrived as cold and flu season is already underway.

KSLA News 12 has learned that Christus Schumpert First Care and the Bossier Family Medicine Clinic are offering affordable H1N1 Flu Virus vaccines.

Officials with both facilities say both the injections and mist vaccines will be available to patients who meet certain qualifications.

The vaccines will be made available to people between the ages of six months old and 24-years-old. Others who qualify include; 1st line healthcare workers, daycare employees and teachers.

Pregnant women who are interested in the vaccine must show a note from their OB-Gyn. The cost for the vaccine; $19.12.
