SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – A plea of ‘Guilty' is expected from one of men connected to the attempted murder of a Shreveport Police officer.
32-year-old Henry Trammell, brother of Lucien Trammell, will appear in Caddo District Court Monday morning to plea to an attempted 1st degree murder charge, for his part in the shooting of Shreveport Officer, John Madjerick back in January 2008.
Henry, according to police, allegedly gave Lucien the gun that police say shot Officer Madjerick. He's also accused of helping Lucien flee to Houston.
A judge sentenced Lucien in November 2009 to 58 years in prison without the benefit of probation or parole.
Officer Madjerick was shot while on patrol on Suntan St., back in 2008. Officer Madjerick tried to search Lucien after a stop and instead of cooperating; Lucien reportedly pulled out a 40 caliber Glock and shot Officer Madjerick in the face.
Following the shooting; a massive manhunt began involving several law enforcement agencies in the Ark-La-Tex.
Lucien was arrested in Houston days later. Be sure to stay with KSLA and KSLA.com for the very latest on Henry's plea.
