SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) –New developments following a Thanksgiving Day house fire in Shreveport.
The fire happened just after 8 p.m. Thursday night in the 3000 block of Syphon St., in Shreveport's Werner Park Subdivision.
Officials have identified the woman who was living at the house as Tina Grace. Grace reportedly lived in the home with her three children.
She reportedly told Shreveport Fire investigators that the electricity had been disconnected for several days prior to the fire and that a portable generator was being used to power space heaters and a television while candles were used for lighting.
Authorities have yet to rule on the cause of the fire, but did say it started in the living room, now the Grace family has no where to live and no possessions.
