BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) – A man who nearly hit two pedestrians over the weekend now faces additional charges of DWI.

20-year old Jose Humberto Larios of Bossier City was arrested Saturday evening after police got several calls about a hit and run driver that crashed into a silver SUV, three other vehicles, and two residential mail boxes.

The incidents took place along Hamilton Road, General Rusk Drive, General Ewell Drive and Longstreet Place.

Police eventually found Larios on Chancellorsville Court in a damaged 2001 Hyundai Sante Fe. Witnesses told police that Larios also nearly hit two pedestrians. No one was injured.

Police say Larios had no drivers license, was not wearing a seatbelt and was driving with an open container of beer. Larios submitted to a chemical breath test which showed him to have a blood alcohol content level of .26%, more than three times the legal limit.

Larios was booked into the Bossier City Jail on charges of DWI, 5 counts of hit and run, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, resisting an officer, no drivers license, no seat belt and open container.

Police say Larios took the vehicle from a family member without permission.
