
SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) – An arrest has been made in connection to a Friday afternoon fatal shooting at a Shreveport apartment complex.
Police have arrested 32-year-old Trimaine Adkins and charged him with 2nd degree murder.
The victim, police have identified as 23-year-old Jonathan Swinney died Friday evening after being shot allegedly by Adkins.
It all went down, about 3:00 p.m. at the Villa Marquis Apartments on Valley View Drive in Shreveport.
According to police, a man, woman, and four children were inside their apartment when they were visited by another man and woman. At some point, there was a confrontation between the couple in the apartment and the couple who came to their door.
At one point, Shreveport Police were working to try to determine if the shooting was done in self-defense.
Early reports from police indicate this recent shooting may have involved a custody dispute involving the four children.
