BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police say the driver of a second car believed to have struck one or both of the pedestrians in a fatal crash last week has come forward.
Sgt. Don Kelly, a police spokesman, tells The Advocate of Baton Rouge that the driver of the second car, a 70-year-old Port Allen woman, contacted police after seeing news reports about the crash.
Kelly said evidence indicates the woman hit one or both pedestrians but only after they had already been hit by an eastbound car and were knocked into her westbound lane of travel.
The investigation into the crash during which 4-year-old Andre Williams was killed and 45-year-old Johnny Kelly was injured is continuing.
Police say no one involved has been arrested.
